Set Up Guide

Google encourages business to collect reviews by registering their business in Google business dashboard & setting up a review form. Reviews will appear in local and near-me searches conducted by potential customers.

Note: Google publishes unverified reviews from registered users. Any Google user can write a review about your business. 

Set up:

1. Register your business in the Google Business Dashboard using an email associated with your business.

2. Navigate to Google Profile Manager/Home. Find the Box titled “Get More Reviews”

3. Click the button “Share Review Form”

4. Copy the link provided by Google

5. Navigate back to the Surveysme app and paste the link in the Google field (publishing tab)

6. Save the page to update. Customers selected will be sent an email requesting a follow up review based on the feedback they provided within the Surveysme app

 

You’re all set but no more reviews?

Double check the pasted URL is correct and points at your Google reviews form/page. Surveysme will not send emails if the URL is missing however it does not check the address validity.

Facebook reviews are known as “recommendations”. Any Facebook user can recommend or review your business. If you have recommendations turned on, send customers to your Facebook business page to encourage more recommendations. Facebook recommendations are useful if your business primarily comes from the platform.  Set up: 1. To turn recommendations on follow these Facebook instructions 2. Visit your Facebook business page. Ensure you are not logged in. 3. Copy the Facebook URL for your business (Your Facebook Social link starting @)       – Please Ensure the entire URL is copied for pasting: (eg: https://www.facebook.com/yourbusinesshandle) 4. Navigate back to the Surveysme app and paste the link in the Facebook field in the publishing tab. 6. Save the page to update. Customers selected will be sent an email requesting a recommendation to the page. Customers can also submit posts to your Facebook business page based on feedback provided within Surveysme
TripAdvisor reviews are important to those in travel & hospitality sectors. While many reviews are from guests and customers, it’s worth noting anyone with an account can write a review. Note: Tripadvisor purport to verify reviews and their validity, however the mechanism by which they achieve this is unclear.  Use the Surveysme app to survey your guests while at your establishment to encourage more customers to post reviews directly to your listing. Set up: 1. Find your listing on TripAdvisor. Make sure you are not logged in as a hotel or user. 2. Copy the URL in your browser 3, Navigate back to the Surveysme app 4. Paste the URL into the field labelled with the TripAdvisor icon 4. Save the page to activate. Customers selected will be requested to post reviews based on feedback from within the Surveysme app

Yelp actively discourages businesses from asking or encouraging customers to post reviews on their platform.  This includes verbal requests, emailing or any other form of encouragement (other than providing excellent service) 

Reviews should never be “bought” with discounts, coupons or any other form of compensation.

Therefore, the use of our system to encourage reviews on Yelp is at your discretion and with their policies in mind.

Note: Surveysme does not incentivise customers to write positive reviews and is designed to capture the unguarded and true sentiment of customers via the privacy of their own devices. It’s also worth considering that regardless of Yelps “trust” software (weighting the value and legitimacy of a review) customers who have a negative experience are many times more likely to post a review than a satisfied customer.

Set up

1. Locate your listing on Yelp

2. Copy the link from the browser. Please ensure you have copied the complete link

3. Navigate back to the Surveysme app. Paste the link in the Yelp field.

4. Save to activate.

 

 

Testimonial Widget Set up

Widget set up is simple for most sites, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, GoDaddy and others. The code will also work in custom-built websites.

If your unable do this yourself, copy the code shown in the publishing page and email it to your webmaster or developer.

This might be the footer of your website, in a specific review page, or even on a payment page. 

Only feedback with a 4-star or better score that a customer has approved for use will appear in the widget.

The widget will refresh automatically with new testimonials, so ensure your QR codes are strategically placed to optimise collection.

The code is installed but the widget isn’t working.

The Testimonials Widget is an optional paid feature. Activate from within the publishing page by selecting a subscription plan (from $19.90 AUD / month)

Can I edit or delete testimonials?

You are unable to delete testimonials.  If you wish to have a testimonial deactivated because of language or inappropriate use, flag within the app to remove from the feed. 

Please note the publishing features are a paid upgrade. To utilise the publishing feed, click the activate button in the page and add a payment method. Subscription can be cancelled at any time.
